Mike Scanlon has over 20 years of progressive experience in the design and implementation of enterprise risk management models and compliance solutions. "He brings extensive knowledge in managing large-scale systems conversions, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, merger integration, strategic planning, profitability measurement, risk control evaluation and cost containment," said Toni Hicks, senior vice president of practices. "His global experience with internal control processes will be instrumental in serving the needs of our clients to strengthen their corporate governance efforts." Scanlon was formerly a director for BearingPoint's Financial Services consulting practice, providing enterprise business solutions and risk management to telecommunication firms, government agencies and financial institutions. In addition to being a CPA, he earned a BS and MS in accounting from Long Island University. Scanlon is a thought leader and has published several articles on corporate governance and risk management. He has recently co-authored an article on the best approach to ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance which will be featured in Parson's upcoming, quarterly publication, Knowledge@Work.
