Agiliance, Inc., the Big Data Risk Company and leading independent provider of integrated solutions for Operational and Security Risk programs, has announced that it has been named finalist for two 2014 Computing Security Awards. The company’s big data risk management solution, RiskVision™, has been selected as finalist in the Enterprise Security Solution of the Year and New Product of the Year categories.

“Being shortlisted in two categories illustrates the importance and the industry need for an automated approach that can harness big security data to streamline threat, vulnerability, and incident responses.”

“We are pleased that our big data risk management solution has been recognized by the judging panel of the Computing Security Awards,” said Torsten George, vice president of worldwide marketing and products at Agiliance. “Being shortlisted in two categories illustrates the importance and the industry need for an automated approach that can harness big security data to streamline threat, vulnerability, and incident responses.”

The Computing Security Awards were created to recognize the solutions and the solution-providers, which have been particularly impressive in the fight against security threats. Now in their fifth year, these awards are well-known and well-respected by end users and by the supplier community. Hundreds of nominations were reviewed by a panel of industry experts, resulting in a shortlist of finalists in 22 categories of the 2014 Computing Security Awards. The winner in each category will be determined via popular vote on the 2014 Computing Security Awards website.

RiskVision software gathers data feeds from otherwise silo-based security and IT tools such as SIEMs, configuration management databases, vulnerability scanners, threat data feeds and advisory services, database security management, etc. It then aggregates, normalizes, and correlates the information with business criticality. This enables a near real time snap shot of an organization's security posture.

In addition, RiskVision automates an organization's governance processes to provide insight into its compliance posture. The final result is a risk-based assessment of the organization's infrastructure, providing prioritization of remediation actions based on business criticality. If needed, RiskVision also assists with automatic ticket creation.

The 2014 Computing Security Awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Russell Hotel in London on October 9, 2014.
